Description
Roads, pits and other ‘scars’ have caused underreported environmental damage to forests, with hidden costs for Canada’s carbon footprint, according to researchers who scoured the landscape to see the impact. The report released by Sierra Club BC found 3.6 million hectares of forest were clearcut across B.C. between 2005 and 2017 — an area larger than the size of Vancouver Island.
